Family Adventures by the Water in Fowey
Spring is a fantastic time to meander through the windy streets in and around the pretty, historic town of Fowey. The harbour literally sparkles as it bathes in a soft, fresh light, the river looks calm and inviting and the narrow cobbled lanes are blissfully quiet before the true hustle and bustle of a typical Cornish Summer arrives.
Cafés offering a wide variety of delicious locally produced food spill out onto hidden sunny corners and boats glide lazily along the estuary. Whether you’re browsing one of the many independent shops, hopping on the ferry to Polruan for an indulgent lunch, or simply soaking up the views from the waterfront, visiting Fowey in spring is a 'must do', relaxed, colourful, and full of quintessential Cornish charm!

Steam into Spring on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway
Climb aboard the iconic Bodmin & Wenford Railway during springtime and wind down as the steam engine meanders through Cornish countryside. Cotehele’s Easter Trail: Fun for the Whole Family !
During Eastertime Cotehele’s lovely gardens exhibit a celebration of wildlife that shares this beautiful estate. Between 28th March and 19th April this Year, families can wander from one animal inspired activity to the next, moving through ten easy (ish)! challenges hidden among the pretty borders. Concealed eggs, teasing clues and the promise of a yummy chocolate treat (with dairy free and vegan options too) add a sense of excitement to the hunt. Nestled within the Taymar valley with vibrant pops of spring colour appearing within the estate gardens, a visit to Cotehele makes for a fun and entertaining day for all ages.

The National Maritime Museum
The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth turns Easter into a full on fun family adventure with its Viking Explorer theme. Taking place during 3rd to 19th April this Year, children can follow a fun filled trail through the galleries, discovering how Vikings travelled, traded and explored the seas. Daily craft sessions enable the tinies make their own Viking inspired creations to take home at the end of a busy and entertaining day.
All the usual favourites are open too from the lookout tower with its harbour views to the tidal zone and the hands on boat pool. With a fantastic mix of learning, creativity and play (included within the admission price) this is sure to be a popular attraction for all ages to visit during the Easter holidays!
